Dear students,

If you have completed all the theoretical components of your course and waiting to complete your work placement, please let me know ASAP.

I have a placement in Darlinghurst for next Tuesday, 3-May -22, morning shift 0645hrs -14:45hrs.

Please note that we are still experiencing limited availability of work placements due to COVID-19, and our partnered facilities are cautiously accepting a small number of students at a time.  

Below is the list of required documents before work placement. Ensure that all documents are completed and submitted at the earliest. 

IMPORTANT CONDITION: Please note that you must reach competency in all theoretical units before entering the placement; therefore, if there is any assessment you missed, please get in touch with us for Academic Support at your earliest convenience. Also, you must not have any outstanding balance with the College. 

1.    Copy of Student ID card 

2.    Police Clearance  

3.    Valid First Aid Certificate  

4.  Covid Vaccination Certificate including a copy of your Booster shot( NSW Health Requirement) 

5.    Statutory Declaration (Should be certified by Justice of Peace)  (See below the document) 

Please note that all copies must be scanned properly. 

Kindly note the following: 

  • First Aid Certificates, please ensure they are valid if they are from external providers. (within three years for your first aid and within a year for CPR)  

  • Statutory Declaration(Should be certified by Justice of Peace) for NSW: https://www.jp.nsw.gov.au/findajp) Service is free of charge.

  • If your work placement was suspended without completing 120 hours, please email me at Sonia@mercurycolleges.edu.au. 

  • The placement will only be organised upon receiving all supporting documents mentioned above and for students who have passed all theoretical units studied. 

  • Certificates will not be issued without completing the practical component of the course. Work Placement is required to reach full qualification.
